IBA elections

ISLAMABAD, March 27: Saiyed Mohib Asad and Pervaiz Butt were elected the president and secretary respectively of the Islamabad Badminton Association (IBA), says a press release.

In the polls, held in line with the new sports policy, other office-bearers elected were:

Muqeem Ahmed Khan (patron), Syed Zahid Hussain Shah, Zafar Iqbal Gondal (sr. vice presidents), Mohammad Ali, M. Naeemullah, Iftikhar Azam, Mrs Farida Javed and Waqas (vice presidents), Imtiaz Gill (associate secretary), Shahzad Ali (joint secretary), Khurshid Ali Khan (finance secretary), Shahid Butt (publicity secretary).

Mrs Shahida Zia, Ms Muneeba, Ms Shams-ur-Nihar, Ms. Nighat, Ms Marium, Ms Anjum Rana and Naheed Satti were elected as the ladies’ representatives.

The executive committee comprises: Sami Syed, Masood Anwar, Sarwar Sindhu, Ishaque Rasheed Roomi, Dr. Faisal Khan, Arshad Khan, Shoaib Naqvi, Nobel Sanaullah and Baber Mughal.
