Girl injured in Indian firing

SIALKOT, March 27: A girl sustained serious injuries in firing by Indian troops on Wednesday night in Silma-Bajragarhi village in the Sialkot working boundary’s Charwa sector.

Official sources told Dawn that Kulsoom Bibi (16) was asleep in the courtyard of her house when some bullets hit her, wounding her critically. She was admitted to the Sialkot CMH in serious condition.

Meanwhile, a youth suffered serious wounds in a landmine blast in Kotli Syed Mir village in the working boundary’s Chaprar sector.

Sources said Muhammad Touseef (17) was passing through the fields when he passed over the landmine which went off, injuring him critically. He was rushed to the Sialkot CMH in serious condition.

Six houses were damaged badly while a goat and a donkey were killed by Indian firing in villages in the working boundary’s Jammu and Chhumb Joriyaan sectors.

Sources said that several Indian troops received serious injuries when Chenab Rangers retaliated near Samba and Akhnoor sectors.
