Bank fraud accused escapes abroad

JHANG, March 26: A bank cashier, accused of bungling Rs2 million, has reportedly escaped abroad.

Syed Intizar Hussain, cashier at the MCB Awa Chak branch of Gojra had fraudulently obtained Rs2 million from the bank’s Shaheed Road branch at Jhang Saddar.

It was learnt that the accused had also been robbing bank customers by giving them fake receipts since long. The total amount embezzled by him was estimated at Rs6.4 million.—APP
