LAHORE, March 23: The Pakistan Day remained largely a low key affair in the city due to preparation for Muharram, heavy police presence to stop the ARD leadership from holding a public meeting at Mochi Gate and sectarian violence.
The day’s celebrations were limited to laying floral wreaths on the grave of poet Muhammad Iqbal by the provincial minister for communication and the district Nazim. — Staff Reporter
