CHARSADDA: Police asked to change attitude

CHARSADDA, March 23: District Nazim Nasir Mohammad Khan has said that police must change its attitude as there was no place for bureaucratic attitude in the new system.

Presiding over a law and order meeting at police lines here the other day, he said unless police changed its attitude right from thana level to higher posts, no improvement was expected, therefore, the force must bring a change to its attitude so that they could regain the confidence of the people.

He said the new system ensures full empowerment to common man, which is also the essence of democracy, and without a general change in the attitude of police force this empowerment was impossible. He said he was duty-bound to implement the new system in the district irrespective of the reaction of the vested interests, reports our correspondent.
