KCCA to host One-dayer, Test against Kiwis


KARACHI, March 22: The Karachi City Cricket Association (KCCA) has decided to organise the first One-Day International and second Test against New Zealand, says a news release issued Friday.

The decision to this regard was taken during the Executive Council meeting of KCCA under held Thursday.

The one-day international being staged at the National Stadium, Karachi, on April 21 and the second Test at the same venue from May 8 to 12.

The Council also approved the rates of tickets for the opening one-day international. Denominations of tickets will be Hanif Muhammad, Fazal Mahmood and Javed Miandad enclosures Rs.1000. Rs 700 for Imran Khan and Wasim Akram enclosures. Asif Iqbal and Waqar Hasan Enclosures Rs. 500. Zaheer Abbas enclosure which has been earmarked for families and ladies Rs.300. Senior Citizen Rs. 50.

The General Enclosure which includes the Muhammad Brothers, Wasim Bari, Iqbal Qasim, Nasim-ul-Ghani, Intikhab Alam and Majid Khan enclosures will be Rs.30.

The Council also sanctioned a sum of Rs four millions for the Stadium. It was decided to start the construction of the KCCA Stadium as per the directive of the PCB Chief at the right earnest so to complete the project before the start of the next domestic season.

The council also formed a Press Liaison Committee headed by Vice President KCCA S.H,Hashmi with Muhammad Akram, Zulfiqar Shaikh, Shahabuddin Kirmani as its members for creating better coordination and liaison and goodwill with the media.—APP
