Tribesmen flay chief’s nomination in murder case

By Our Correspondent

HUB, March 22: Khaskheli tribesmen on Friday threatened to observe hunger strike if a case against their chief Sardar Ghulam Mustafa Khaskheli for Seth Gobind’s murder in Kot Ghulam Mohammed is not withdrawn.

President of All Pakistan Khaskheli Jamaat, Lasbela district, Dr Abdul Hakeem Khaskheli, at a press conference at Uthal, also demanded immediate arrest of the killers of two tribesmen, Altaf Khaskheli and Ghulam Ali Khaskheli.

He said the Khaskheli chief had been nominated in the FIR of Seth Gobind case because the political leaders of the area were against him. He alleged that the Mirpurkhas police officials had received bribe for nominating Sardar Mustafa in the case.

He maintained that if the name of their leader was not withdrawn from the FIR, two million tribesmen would hold hunger strike and the members of the tribe would start committing suicides in the second phase of their protest.

He said that about 500 Nazims and 1,000 councillors would also participate in the protest.
