Three shot dead in revenge

DADU, March 19: Three men shot dead three people including two brothers in Kakar town, about 30 kilometres from here, on Tuesday.

Three armed men, led by one Abdullah Joyo, barged into a general store belonging to one Shahnawaz Junejo, and shot dead Mr Junejo’s brothers, Nisar Ahmed (30) and Mukhtiar Ahmed (38), and a friend of theirs, Nazeer Ahmed (25). They then fled on their motorcycles.

According to the police, three months back Mr Junejo married a girl, Najma Joyo, in court. Joyo tribesmen had been forcing Mr Junejo to divorce the girl but he refused. Therefore they killed his brothers in revenge.

The Rukkan police arrested all three accused identified as Abdullah Joyo, Abdul Razzak Joyo, and Dhani Bux.

SUSPENDED: Nine primary teachers were suspended and show-cause notices were issued to 50 primary teachers of various schools of Dadu District on Tuesday.

Two special teams led by the EDO, Education, M. Aslam Turk, and the DEO, Syed Abdul Raheem Shah, paid surprise visits to various primary schools of Sehwan, Kotri, and Dadu talukas and found nine teachers absent.

The EDO issued their suspension orders. He also issued show-cause notices to 50 male and female teachers belonging to primary schools of the district.
