Inquiry into honour killing begins
LARKANA, March 19: The SP of investigation, Larkana, Abdul Ahad Sangri, initiated an investigation into the murder of Asma Bhutto on Tuesday.
She was killed under the pretext of Karo-kari in village Nandha Phull a couple of days ago.
One of the accused Niaz Bhutto has been arrested following the lodging of an FIR by ASI Bashir with the Taluka police station against Parvez Chandio alias Paroo, Allah Bukhsh and two unidentified persons.
The SP, investigations, told this scribe that the deceased in an attempt to escape the killing jumped from a house into another but the killers shot her dead.
He suspected that the murder was pre-planned.
The SP who visited the site of incident said that Asma could have been saved had the inmates resisted.
He said that efforts were underway to arrest the rest of the accused nominated in the FIR.
