HYDERABAD, March 19: A large number of professor, lecturers, teachers and government employees of Sindh, under the banner of the Sindh Employees Association, continued their hunger strike outside the press club on the second consecutive day here on Tuesday to press for the acceptance of their demands.

Their demands include reinstatement of five teachers of Sukkur.

Adds Our Larkana Correspondent: At least 20 activists of different organizations affiliated with the Sindh Employees Alliance continuing their protest observed a token hunger strike in Jinnahbagh here on Tuesday.

Those who observed hunger strike included Mushtaque Ahmed Chaki, Mumtaz Ali Soomro, Barkat Ali Kalhoro, Ali Gohar Channo and others.

The leaders of PPP(SB), Dr Sikandar Jatoi, Baggan Khaskheli and others visited the hunger-strike camp and expressed their party’s solidarity with them.

The leaders of the SEA announced that the protest would continue till the acceptance of their demands.

Adds Our Mirpurkhas Correspondent: On the call of the Sindh Employees Alliance a token hunger strike was observed in the government Shah Abdul Latif College, Mirpurkhas, on Tuesday to protest against the excesses of Sindhri police and for the reinstatement of five sacked teachers of Sukkur.

The classes in different schools of the city and its surrounding towns were also boycotted.
