ISLAMABAD, March 19: The government has deplored the machinations of the Indian government to blame the Kashmiri freedom movement and Pakistan for the killings being carried out by the Indian occupation forces in occupied Kashmir.

The government expressed grave concern over reports carried by Indian media that DNA samples of the five persons killed by Indian forces in Pathribai in occupied Kashmir in the wake of the Chittisingpora massacre of 36 Sikhs by Indian security forces, in March 2000, had been tampered with by the Indian authorities to cover up the murder of civilians by the occupation forces.

The foreign office, in a statement, said: “It clearly establishes that the massacres were stage-managed by the Indian forces with a view to maligning the Kashmiri freedom struggle.”

It said the government had repeatedly called for thorough and impartial investigations into the many massacres committed in the Indian occupied Kashmir.
