KARACHI, March 19: Six people, who were travelling on forged documents and were going to the United States, were caught at Quaid-i-Azam International Airport on Tuesday.
The passengers, booked on the Emirates Airlines, had passed through the immigration counters at the Jinnah Terminal, but were caught at the re-checking point by Inspector Ahmad Jan, Sub-Inspector Rehmatullah Domki, and Ghazanfar Ali Bhutto.
They were travelling on forged USA/Pakistani passports. An assistant director of the FIA, Immigration, Javed Mughal, told Dawn that these people during interrogation had revealed that they had paid Rs0.5 million each to an agent, Mohammad Haneef Butt, for forged documents.
He said the passengers were also carrying forged US driving licences. They were handed over to the FIA, Passport Circle, for further legal action.
