HYDERABAD, March 18: The activists of the Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz staged a token hunger strike outside the press club here on Monday to protest against the arrests of the party leaders.

Talking to newsmen, the district president of the party, Masroor Thebo, who led the protest, said that Sirai Qurban Khohawar, joint secretary of the party, Muneer Shah, Manzoor Jatoi, Najam Jakhio, Javed Bhatti and Fayyaz Mirani had been arrested in false cases of car lifting to defame them and to sabotage the struggle of the party for the rights of Sindh.

They warned that if the leaders were not released, the consequences would be very serious.
