Wajihuddin slams 108

LAHORE, March 16: An unbeaten century by Wajihuddin (108) helped Karachi University score 276 all out in first innings on opening day of the Inter-University cricket championship final at the Old Campus ground Saturday. At stumps, Punjab University scored 49 for no loss in nine overs. Karachi University won the toss and opted to bat first.

KARACHI UNIVERSITY: Ist innings: 276 all out in 78.4 overs (Wajihuddin 108 not out 12X4, 1X6, Mohammad Farrukh 40 5X4, Faisal Mirza 45 3X4, Rao Waseem 29 2X4: Mamoon Khan 4/81).

PUNJAB UNIVERSITY: 49 for no loss in 9 overs (Mohammad Shoaib 26, Farhan Usman 19).

In the match for the third place which started at the New Campus Saturday, Bahauddin Zakriya University were all out for 168 after being put in to bat. At stumps, Peshawar University made 58 for four wickets.

PESHAWAR UNIVERSITY: 58 for 4 in 26 overs (Naveed Jan 13, Muslehuddin 11; Agha Shakil 2/15).
