QUETTA, March 16: The president, Radiological Society of Pakistan, Professor Dr Mustafa Kamal, has vowed to make all possible efforts for improving the quality of radiology in the country, with a special attention to remote areas of Balochistan.

Speaking at a function arranged by the society on Sunday, he said the society would introduce the radiology in the far lung areas of the province.

Workshops and seminars would be conducted in the remote areas of Balochistan and other areas of the country for creating awareness among people about the importance of the radiology, he said.

Dr Kamal also said the society would hold national and international moots during next two years while the first issue of a monthly newsletter of the society might be published by April.

He hoped that the society would get all help and support from its members in achieving its goals.

Speaking on the occasion, Bolan Medical College Principal Professor Dr Arbab Ghulam Rasool said that he was making all possible efforts to provide better facilities to the students and teachers for research work in various medical fields. “But we are facing paucity of funds in this regard”, he regretted.

The secretary-general of the society, Prof Sultan Zaiddin, had highlighted the aims and objectives of the society.
