KARACHI: Seven cars, six bikes hijacked

KARACHI, March 14: Thirteen vehicles — seven cars and six motorcycles — were either hijacked or stolen in the city on Thursday, the police said.

Three cars were hijacked. Four others were stolen.

Three motorcycles were hijacked. Three others were stolen.

The police also claimed on Thursday to have recovered three vehicles (ADQ-238, G-7132, and JM-0588).

FOUND DEAD: An elderly woman was found dead in Saddar on Thursday.

The police said that the unidentified woman, who was in her 80s, was found dead near a jewellery shop in Saddar. The body was sent to Civil Hospital for post-mortem.

Sources at the hospital said that the post-mortem report had been reserved till the receipt of histopathological and chemical reports.

BURNS: A young girl suffered burns in her home in Orangi Town on Thursday.

The police said that Tehmeena, aged 13, suffered burns while cooking in the kitchen. She had been admitted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
