HYDERABAD, March 9: The central action committee of the Sindh Employees Alliance (SEA) at a meeting held here on Friday condemned the dismissal of the SEA office-bearers of Sukkur .

The SEA also condemned the issuance of show cause notices to other office-bearers and their expulsion from the district and the decision of the government to challan the case of the teachers in the Anti-Terrorism Court.

The meeting demanded of the president, Sindh governor and corps commander to stop the excesses against the teachers.

The meeting resolved to observe black day through out Sindh on March 16 and token hunger strikes in Karachi, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Sukkur and Larkana every day from March 18 to against protest the victimization of the teachers. The hunger strikes would continue till the acceptance of the SEA demands.

Supporting the demands and struggle of the Pakistan United Teachers Front, the meeting resolved to hold countrywide protest rallies in the district headquarters of the country.

The meeting demanded the reinstatement of the dismissed teachers of Sukkur, withdrawal of show cause notices and expulsion orders of teachers, removal of EDO (education) Ms Rafia Naz, implementation of the decisions of the joint meeting of the steering committee appointed by the Sindh chief secretary and the representatives of the SEA and end to the privatization of educational institutions.

Intizar Hussain Chhalgari presided over the meeting.
