ISLAMABAD, March 5: The Federal Government has appointed Additional District and Sessions Judge, Islamabad, Safdar Hussain Malik as the judge of the Special Anti-Terrorist Court, Rawalpindi.

Official sources said Mr Malik would assume his new responsibility next week.

FRAUD: An Afghan refugee, Dost Mohammad, here has filed a complaint with the SSP against a police official who, what the complainant alleged, defrauded him for getting US visas for him and his family. The accused police officer, Shahbaz Ali, who was posted at the UN Office, assured Dost Mohammad that he could send him and his family to the United States but after payment of some money.

The complainant said that he paid Rs16,500 to the accused, who is now posted at Margalla police station, but despite the passage of some eight months neither the accused provided him visas nor returned the money.
