71 outlaws arrested; arms seized

LAKKI MARWAT, March 5: In a crackdown on outlaws, the Lakki Marwat police have nabbed more than five dozen proclaimed offenders, seized six stolen/snatched vehicles and recovered huge quantity of illicit and illegal arms besides thousands of grams of narcotics.

According to a press release issued by SP Lakki Marwat Abdullah Khan, on the instruction of provincial police chief, the district police took stern action against outlaws, miscreants and proclaimed offenders.

During the course of campaign launched by six police stations of the district, local law enforcement agencies arrested 71 proclaimed offenders wanted by the police in various crimes like dacoities, murder, car-snatching and lootings and recovered four Kalashnikovs, eight rifles, 16 guns, 21 pistols, seven daggers and 5,106 cartridges of different bores.

Likewise, a considerable quantity of narcotics including 68 grams of heroine powder and 1,322 grams of hashish were seized from different drug sellers and drug users, while six stolen/ snatched vehicles including four motorcars and two Datsun pickups were also seized during the campaign.
