Dhaka name Mohsin as coach

By Our Special Representative

LAHORE, March 4: Former Pakistan fast bowler Mohsin Kamal has been appointed Bangladesh cricket team coach.

Mohsin, who played in the 1980s, said he has agreed to a one-year contact with Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) who are releasing Trevor Chappell in June.

Mohsin said he was appointed after a board-to-board level discussion.

Mohsin said Ali Zia has also been appointed by BCB but wasn’t sure what designation the former first-class batsman will get.

“He will be my assistant,” he said.
