UN urged to stop massacre in India

By Our Correspondent

SUKKUR, March 4: Tehrik Istaqlal President Rehmat Khan Verdag has strongly condemned the carnage of Muslims by Hindu fanatics in several parts of India.

He appealed to the UN and OIC states to intervene and save the innocent Muslim population from extermination.

Speaking at a press conference here on Monday, Mr Verdag said that the events taking place since 27th February were a shameful blow for the claim of secularism by India.

He held the Gujrat state government responsible for keeping a silence on the killings of Muslims .

Mr Verdag said that the people of Pakistan were deeply shocked and anguished on the killings.

He deplored that human rights organizations had not been able to lodge their protest and raise voice to save the Muslims.

Mr Verdag said that the Tehrik Istaqlal would organize rallies in the country to express sympathies and solidarity with their Indian brethren Muslims.
