2 villagers kidnapped

SHIKARPUR, March 4: Four armed men kidnapped two villagers, Hussain Bux Bandhani and Amanullalh Bandhani, from the Jehan Khan bus stand on Monday.

The Lakhi police have lodged a case.

INJURED: Four occupants of a car were shot and injured when they offered resistance to a gang of 11 highwaymen who tried to rob them on the Chak road on Saturday night.

The four were identified as Mujahid Mehar, Aijaz Ahmed Hothi, Nisar Ahmed Ansari and Haji Ghulam Mustafa Mehar. They were taken to a hospital.

The Chak police have registered a case.

ARRESTED: The Chak police arrested two dacoits, Mumtaz Ahmed Labano and Moula Bux, from the Ismail Labano village, near Bagarji, following an ‘encounter’ on Monday.

TEACHERS RALLY: Primary teachers took out a rally in Garhi Yasin on Monday to protest against the delay in the recovery of a teacher, Taj Mohammad Bohiro.

The teachers were led by the Taluka president, Primary Teachers Association, Yar Mohammad Brohi.
