DIG, SSP transferred
KOHAT, March 4: The deputy inspector general and senior superintendent of Kohat police have been transferred while the station house officer of Jangle Khel police station has been suspended on the orders of the NWFP governor Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah with immediate effect, it has been learnt.
The orders were issued after a number of delegations during meetings with the governor on Sunday complained about the increase in kidnappings for ransom and dacoities in the area and complete failure of the police to check the crime rate or arrest the criminals.
