Two die, 32 hurt on road

By Our Correspondent

SHEIKHUPURA, March 3: Two persons were killed while 32 injured when a bus plunged into a ravine after hitting a motorbike near Gulistan Town, Lahore Road, on Sunday evening.

Reports revealed the bus (LHN-2692) hit the motorbike (LHP-7125) on its way to Lahore from Sheikhupura and plunged into a ravine reportedly due to driver’s loss of control.

Bikers Jawad Husain Shah and his colleague Riazat Ali of Shah-dara Town died within minutes.

Some 32 bus occupants sustained injuries. Six of them were taken to the Mayo Hospital, Lahore, in precarious condition.

The Factory area police are in search of the absconding driver.
