ISLAMABAD March 3: Pakistan Muslim League (QA) on Sunday staged a demonstration outside the central secretariat of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) to register its anger against the reported disruption of a party rally in Larkana.

The demonstration was led by party’s additional secretary-general Col (Rtd) Ghulam Sarwar Cheema, Azeem Chaudhry and Yahya Munawar and participated by some 50 party workers who carried placards and banners with slogans condemning PPP activists action and demanding action against them.

A huge police posse supported by an armed personnel carrier was deployed to ward off any clash between the workers of the two parties.

Meanwhile, a PPP spokesman said that “King’s party” had failed to hold demonstrations in the country. In Islamabad, only 15 PML-QA activists gathered in front of the PPP secretariat but it could not arrange any demonstration, he added.
