11 more Pakistani pilgrims die

ISLAMABAD, Feb 20: Eleven more Pakistanis who had gone to to Saudi Arabia to perform Haj died of old age and heart attacks in the holy cities of Makkah and Madina.

With the death of 11 pilgrims, the number of deceased has risen to 63, official sources said on Wednesday.

The sources said names of 52 pilgrims who died after arriving in Saudi Arabia were announced on Tuesday.

The name of 11 deceased are: Muhammad Sadiq, son of Abdullah, (Bahawalnagar), Rahim Khan, son of Barfi Khan (Quetta), Khair Muhammad, son of Muhammad Paryal (Nowshero Feroz), Atta Muhammad, son of Wali Muhammad (Shekhupura), Ghulam Fatima, wife of Ahmed Khan (Mianwali), Ghulam Ali, son of Muhammad Umer (Badin), Lakhano, son of Kamil (Umerkot), Safia Bano, wife of Abdul Razzaq (Lahore), Ghulam Janat, wife of Haji Ghous Bux (Bahawalpur), Shiekh Rehmat, son of Haji Ferozuddin (Darul Banda), and Surayya Begum, wife of Dilawar Ali (Multan).

Two of them were buried in Makkah, while burial of nine took place in Madina Munawwarah.

The sources added that most of these pilgrims were between 60 and above and suffered heart attacks.—APP
