SRINAGAR, Feb 18: Indian forces claimed killing six Kashmiri Mujahideen on Monday, police said.

Two men belonging to the Jaish-i-Mohammad were killed by troops at Matigowran village, near the health resort of Kokernag, 70 kilometres south of Srinagar.

Another fighter was shot dead in the village of Sangaldhan, Udhampur district.

“One AK series rifle and ten kilograms of RDX explosives were recovered from the encounter site later,” a police spokesman said.

Three more freedom fighters died in the Doda and Poonch districts during encounters with Indian troops, he said.
