DADU, Feb 14: The superintendent, investigation, Dadu, Chaudhry Haji Mohammad Sadiq, said that 12 investigation officers (IOs) have been appointed in the seven talukas of the district.
Speaking at a press conference here on Thursday, he said that an inspector would be the incharge of every team, and every investigation team would look after the cases of four police stations, and added that the cells of the investigation teams had been established at Mehar, Khairpur Nathan Shah, Thariri Mohabbat, Rukkan, Dadu, Bhan Saeedabad, Johi, Sehwan, Kotri, Jamshoro, T.B Khan and Nooriabad.
He further said that due to lack of funds, the officers would share existing facilities the mobiles, arms and police lockups with the police stations.
He warned, if any investigation officer was found guilty of misconduct during the investigation of the case, he would be dismissed from his service.
KILLED: A motorcyclist, Kaloo Khan Bhand, 45, was killed on the spot, while another man, Ghulam Ali Mahesar, was seriously injured when their motorcycle was hit by a Sehwan Sharif bound wagon (R-0734) near Bhan Saeedabad on Thursday.
The unidentified driver of the wagon managed to escape.
The injured was admitted to the health centre, Bhan, Saeedabad.
Police have impounded the wagon, after registering an FIR.
ROBBERY: Some 20 armed men of the Khoro tribe allegedly barged into the house of Jafar Khoso in village Raman Khoso near Thariri Mohabbat town on Thursday.
They looted, gold ornaments, cash and took away 900 mounds of paddy in the trucks.
Thariri Mohabbat police on the complaint of Jafar Khoso lodged an FIR against Abdul Rehman, Azizullah, Fateh Muhammad, Shaman, Ghulamullah, Ali Muhammad, Alan, Mashooque, Ahmed Nawaz, Muhammad Khan and 12 others.
DONATION: The administration of Lasmo Company donated 3000 vials of antimony injection, 5000 Flygel syrup, 40000 Flygel tablets and other medicines to the EDO, health, Dadu, for the patients of cutaneous Leishmaniasis.
