KARACHI, Feb 14: Commander Turkish Naval Forces Admiral Bulent Alpkaya on Thursday visited the Mazar-i-Quaid and laid a wreath to pay homage to the Father of Nation.

He also visited the Quaid’s museum and witnessed with keen interest his personal belongings on display there.

Thereafter, the commander of Turkish Naval Forces went to Pakistan Navy dockyard and called on Commander Pakistan Fleet Rear Admiral Shahid Karimullah at the Pakistan Navy Tactical School.

He remained with him for some time and exchanged views on matters of professional interest.

Admiral Bulent also called on the Commander Logistics and discussed with him matters of mutual interest.

Admiral Bulent visited a guided missile destroyer and a submarine. He was briefed on the capabilities of the Pakistan Navy fleet.

At PN Dockyard, the Commander of Turkish Naval Forces went round various workshops.

He was apprised of the repair and construction facilities available at the Dockyard.

He also went to the submarine construction site and witnessed the ongoing work on Agosta 90-B submarine. He appreciated the skills of PN personnel in ship and submarines construction.

Earlier, on arrival from Islamabad, Admiral Bulent Alpkaya was received by Commander Karachi Rear Admiral Mohammad Haroon at PNS Mehran.—APP
