By Our Correspondent

MIANWALI, Feb 10: Two terrorists were arrested and bombs, arms and ammunition recovered from them near Kamarmishani, SP Muhammad Zarat Kiyani claimed on Sunday.

The terrorists were taking three Russian-made bombs,

30 hand grenades, 48 Kalashnikovs and two boxes of cartridges to Lahore, the SP told newsmen at a press conference here.

He said that Kamarmishani police SHO Malik Tariq had on Saturday intercepted a jeep (B-1702-DIK) which was coming from ‘Kutcha’ alongside river Indus to the main road.

During preliminary interrogation, Rafeedullah and Zahid Saleem of Mohallah Sikanderkhel, Bannu, revealed that they were taking the explosive devices and ammunition to Lahore to deliver it to their accomplices.

Police cut the body of the jeep and recovered the bombs, hand grenades, Kalashnikovs and boxes of cartridges.
