LARKANA, Feb 7: A survey team of the World Health Organization has found at least 200 more cases of skin disease Leishmaniasis in Faridabad and Ghaibidero on Wednesday.
Dr Qaid, emergency medical officer of the WHO for Mediterranean region, and Dr Farooqur Rehman Soomro visited Mehar on Wednesday.
Later, along with Dr Abdul Majeed Buledai, they visited Faridabad town. The initial survey showed that around 150 persons had been inflicted with the Leishmaniasis.
Dr Soomro told Dawn on Wednesday that another team conducted survey in village Raees Jamal Chandio, Buthee Lashkar, Ghabidero and Kambar town and found 50 cases of the skin disease.
The team also visited village Chukhee, Qubo Saeed Khan, Tangree and Mohammed Saleh Magsi in Shahdadkot sub-division.
The survey would continue for four more days.
