Jirga resolves dispute

Published February 2, 2002

BAJAUR, Feb 1: A tribal jirga amicably resolved an old feud over the ownership of a property at the Barad Shagai area of Salarzai subdivision here on Thursday.

The groups of Malik Fazal Karim Barad and Malik Bakhtiar Shagai were running enmity for the last seven years. Dozens of people from both sides lost their lives in the feud.

The erstwhile enemies pledged before the jirga that they would bury all differences and would live as brothers.
