Councillors demand removal of Nazims

NAWABSHAH, Jan 29: The councillors of the union council-8, belonging to the Awam Dost Panel, have slammed the mischievous attitude of the Nazim, UC-8, Arshad Awan, and Naib Nazim, Mohammad Khalid.

Nine councillors of the union council, led by Masood Siddiqui, alleged the Nazim and Naib Nazim for abusing and misbehaving with them during the session of the council.

They demanded of the government to remove the Nazim and Naib Nazim so that the development works could be completed.

HUNGER STRIKE: Two token hunger strike camps were set up in front of the press club here by two groups of the Pakistan Peoples Party.

The group, led by Ghulam Rasool Baloch, PPP vice president, Nawabshah city, supported by more than 200 workers and members, was demanding immediate removal of Dost Ali Rind, PPP president, Nawabshah city, early release of Asif Ali Zardari and safe return of Benazir Bhutto to Pakistan.

The president of the PPP, Nawabshah district, Ghulam Qadir Chandio, sat with both groups of the party.
