By Our Correspondent

KHAIRPUR, Jan 25: The district police officer, Abdul Khalique Shaikh, said that no one would be arrested without registration of an NC by the police.

He said this while speaking at a seminar on ‘How to develop a better relationship between the police and the public’ on Friday.

He said that the police would not be allowed to violate the sanctity of the chadar aur chardeewari.

The seminar was organized by the Taluka Nazim, Faiz Ganj, Akhtar Hussain Rajpar.

Mr Shaikh accused the waderas of having promoted the culture of corruption.

He said that strict orders had been issued to the police not to let waderas visit the police stations. He said that arrangements had been made to educate policemen about human rights through a series of lectures.

The two — Zakir Hussain Mangi and M. Hussain Mangi — were injured in a clash over land between the Mallah and Mangi tribes in Bozdar Wadda, Thari Mirwah Taluka, on Thursday.

Both were taken to a hospital.

DEMO: Activists of the Sindh Hari Committee, Mirwah, held a protest demonstration on Friday against the Tapedar for taking excessive land tax from the growers.
