Shahzad slams hat trick

LAHORE, Jan 22: Four matches were decided in the Junior Cup polo tournament at the Lahore Polo Club Tuesday.

A  hat trick by Shahzad Aziz who scored four goals helped Uni Gas beat PIP Group 5-4. The remaining goal was scored  by Irfan  Ali Hyder. For the losing side, Aslam scored  three  goals while Asad Hayat Noon added a goal.

Nee Punhal defeated Rangers Club 5 1/2-4 with a half goal handicap. Haseeb Mehtha scored three goals for Nee Punhal while Usman Hayee added two goals. For the losers, Havaldar Amanat scored two goals while Omar Shahbaz and Lt. Col. Talat Zia added a goal each.

Guard Rice beat Musa Industries 6 1/2 -5.

Raja Aamir Khan and Taimur Malik scored two goals each while Lt. Col. Talha Saeed and Raja Sattar added one goal each with a half goal handicap.

For the losing side, Abdul Rehman and Samiullah scored two goals each while Hasan Raza Gillani added one goal.

Borjan earned a hard fought win against Kashmirian 7 1/2-4 Two and a half goals were awarded to the winners on handicap.
