Envoys to apprise world of tension

ISLAMABAD, Jan 17: The government announced on Thursday sending of special envoys to various countries to brief them about the obtaining situation on Pakistan-India border in the wake of amassing of troops by India and the need for de-escalation.

The special envoys are federal ministers, politicians, former officials or technocrats.

Out of the five special envoys, one is already visiting Saudi Arabia, UAE and Qatar. The team led by Javed Ashraf, federal minister for communications, and comprises former federal minister Ejazul Haq.—APP
