ISLAMABAD, Jan 17: Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi has assured President General Pervez Musharraf of his full support in reviving Pakistan’s economy.

The Japanese prime minister phoned President Musharraf and invited him to visit Japan in near future. The president accepted the invitation.

Mr Koizumi has also reiterated Japan’s support for the policies of Pakistan.

A Pakistani team led by Finance Minister Shaukat Aziz will be arriving in Japan to attend the international conference for rehabilitation of Afghanistan.—APP
