SAHIWAL, Jan 17: The Punjab governor has approved a grant of Rs40 million under the Khushal Pakistan Programme (KPP) for the provision of sui gas to the remaining areas in Sahiwal and Chichawatni.

The district Nazim, Rai Hassan Nawaz, on Tuesday told newsmen that the governor had approved the amount for Grain Market, Tariq Bin Ziad Colony, Jahaz Ground, Kot Khadim Ali Shah and Scheme No 3 of Farid Town.

The localities had not been provided the facility due to the scarcity of funds at the time of its provision to Sahiwal, he said.
