LONDON, Jan 15: British inflation fell to the lowest level for four decades in December, when the general rate dropped to just 0.7 per cent over 12 months, official figures showed on Tuesday.
Consumer prices fell by 0.1 percent in December from November, giving a general, or headline, rate of 0.7 per cent, the lowest annual rate since 1960, the Office for National Statistics said.—AFP
