PESHAWAR, Jan 14: The NWFP minister for revenue excise and taxation, Aminullah Khan Gandapur, has said that under the new system of taxes, property survey forms had been distributed among the people, therefore, those who have not filled up the forms and returned to the concerned department will be charged under the old system and they would remain deprived of the facilities given to them under the new system.
He was presiding over a monthly recovery meeting of ETOs of the excise and taxation departments here on Monday. The meeting was also attended by secretary excise and taxation, deputy secretary, district ETOs and officials of the concerned department. The meeting discussed in detail, the recovery position during the month of December and presented some proposals to improve this situation.
On this occasion, the minister said that those who have not filled the survey forms of their property, should contact the concerned office along with details of the property and fill survey forms adding that the staff available in the office would help them in this respect.
Mr Gandapur called upon the officers to achieve the target given to them as the target of this year was below that of previous year. While necessary staff was also being given to them to assist in collection of revenue. He also directed to submit details of the cases in which the courts had issued stay orders so that future strategies could be evolved regarding these cases.
The minister assured the officers regarding the solution of their problems.
