Four shot dead

By Our Correspondent

KASUR, Jan 13: Four people were shot dead and a woman sustained serious wounds on Sunday in a crossfire between two rival groups at a nearby Mir Muhammad village, Raja Jang.

It is learnt that a number of people had become victims of a bad blood running between Ibrahim and Mubarak alias Makha groups. Several cases are also under proceeding in different courts.

The enmity flared up when Ibrahim had abducted the cousin of Mubarak and married her a few years ago. On Sunday, Muhammad Ismail, brother of Ibrahim, and his accomplices entered Mubarak’s house and opened fire on inmates, killing Mubarak and Muhammad Idrees instantly and injuring Hamidan Bibi seriously. Ismail and a passerby, Muhammad Abbas, were also killed instantly when the Makha group returned the fire.
