HYDERABAD, Jan 10: Two former leaders of Sindh Taraqqi Pasand Party, Hussain Bux Thebo and Punhal Sario, have condemned the murderous attack on the life of Dr Raheem Solangi in Karachi.

Talking to Dawn here on Thursday, they said that on Thursday Gulzar Soomro, a member of STPP central committee, attacked Dr Solangi with fire arms, who was lying on death bed in Aga Khan Hospital, Karachi.

They claimed that Dr Solangi while remaining in the STPP had tried to cleanse the party of hoodlums and extortionist elements for 10 years but having been utterly disappointed, he had resigned from the party with other friends.

They said that this was the only fault of Dr Solangi.

Meanwhile, a STPP spokesman, in a statement, has claimed that the party was not involved in the attack on Dr Raheem Solangi and condemned the registration of an FIR against Qadir Magsi and Haider Shahani.
