KOHAT, Jan 6: In the ongoing crackdown against illegal immigrants, the army arrested two Afghan nationals from a Karachi-bound coach at Jarma checkpoint here on Sunday morning.

The army personnel, who have sealed all exit points from Kohat to check vehicles for suspects, arrested Naseer, son of Imam Din, and Khan Ali, son of Abdul Hameed, residents of Jalalabad city of Afghanistan, and booked them under the 14 Foreign Act.

They possessed no legal travel documents, passports or refugee registration cards.

During preliminary investigation, the two Afghans could not satisfy the investigators of their genuineness.
