PAT chief for resource mobilization

Published January 7, 2002

ISLAMABAD, Jan 6: Pakistanis should re-arrange their individual and collective priorities to mobilize their resources and make their country a great power in Asia, the Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chairman, Dr Tahirul Qadri, said.

Speaking at an Eid Milan party hosted for politicians and media persons, Dr Qadri said Pakistan needed to remove the deficiencies it was facing especially in the fields of modern education, research and development, technology transfer, electronic media, trade and industry.

The PAT chief said his party would organize a conference of traders and industrialists to discuss Pakistan’s action plan in the field of development.

He said he had initiated a campaign to encourage Pakistanis not to spend money on useless habits like smoking, and instead donate their savings to make Pakistan strong and prosperous.
