RAWALPINDI, Jan 5: An accountability court here on Saturday adjourned the hearing of a corruption reference against former chief minister of Punjab Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo till January 15.
Judge Rustam Ali Malik who was to record the statement of Deputy Inspector General Javed Noor, the investigation officer, could not do so because the IO was absent on Saturday.
Naeem Bukhari, advocate is the special public prosecutor in the case, while Dr Baber Awan is the defence lawyer.
The NAB had alleged that the former chief minister was involved in misappropriating funds in the purchase of an aircraft. The accused had already been convicted by an accountability court of Lahore. —APP
