US team due today


ISLAMABAD, Jan 4: A three-member US congressional team headed by Joe Pitts is scheduled to arrive here today (Saturday) on a week-long visit to Pakistan and Afghanistan.

The delegation, included congressmen Tony Hall and Frank Wolf, will meet the minister for state and frontier regions. It will also attend a briefing at the US Embassy in Islamabad and leave for Kabul on Sunday by a special plan.

Mr Pitts is also a member of the House’s international relations committee.—NNI
