NWFP on verge of victory

KARACHI, Jan 4: Rest of NWFP were denied early victory as poor weather curtailed play in the Quaid Trophy tie against Rest of Punjab at Arbab Niaz Stadium in Peshawar Friday.

According to details available here, Punjab, who resumed at 61 for two, reached 187 for nine in their second innings to lead by just 71 runs.
