GILGIT, Jan 4: FMCC Director Brig Tariq Rasheed briefed the Northern Areas deputy chief executive, NALC speaker and members on the current geo-strategic and military situation between Pakistan and India.
The briefing mainly focused on the borders of the Northern Areas and Line of Control (LOC).
The director, Formation Monitoring and Coordination Cell (FMCC), said that after attacks on World Trade Center, Pakistan had taken a principle stand on Afghanistan issue and became an active partner in the international coalition as a frontline state.
All this was unbearable to India so in reaction it staged the drama of highjacking, carried out killings of minorities. When it did not work, it blamed Pakistan for suicidal attack on Indian Parliament without any investigation, he said.
