RAWALPINDI, Jan 2: Raja Mohammad Kashif Khan made a dream first-class debut for Islamabad Wednesday with five catches behind the stumps as Rawalpindi crumbled to 176 all out on day dne of their Quaid-i-Azam Trophy match at the KRL Stadium.

After what was a poor batting display, the Rawalpindi bowlers struck back with two quick wickets to leave Islamabad at a shaky 21 for two by the close.

Rawalpindi who were asked to bat first were a disappointment except for Babar Naeem who held the fort almost single-handedly and scored 72, a 173 ball innings that had 10 boundaries.

The men who ran through the Rawalpindi batting were Saad Janjua with four for 47 and Azhar Mahmood, who had figures of three for 56.

But it was the wicktkeeping deeds of the talented Kashif that earned much of the spotlight, his five victims being Asif Mahmood, Shahid Javed, Naseer Ahmad, Pervaiz Aziz and Yasir Arafat.
