Blair urges restraint

By Our Correspondent

LONDON, Dec 30: British Premier Tony Blair has urged both Pakistan and India to exercise restraint as tension mounts between the two countries.

A Downing Street spokesman said: “We welcome the fact that Pakistan, very swiftly after the attack on the Indian parliament, took steps against the terrorist groups operating from its territory. “We will continue to urge President Musharraf to continue to crack down on these terrorist groups with resolve and determination operating from his territory.”
